Asian-Pacific Bank installed first self-service currency exchange machine in Russia

Asian-Pacific Bank installed first self-service currency exchange machine in the Russian market. The innovative device allows exchanging US dollars, euros and Russian rubles for up to 40,000 rubles per day or foreign currency equivalent.

The exchange operation will be done at the rate adjusted by the bank. The client will be able to transfer remaining funds after currency exchange operation to the mobile phone number; the machine will offer to indicate the phone number after the operation is completed. In addition, in December customers will be able not only exchange currencies, but also pay communal services.

“Currency exchange machines will be in demand in the domestic market. Our customers want to receive services conveniently without waiting in line. It is important that customers do not need to look for favorable rate - our technology allows to use a special banking rate when converting. This distinguishes our solution from conducting transactions on other self-service devices that use payment system rates”, - commented Mikhail Malakhov, Deputy Chairman of Asian-Pacific Bank.

The model is equipped with a passport scanner and video camera, it will allow to quickly identify the customer using passport and biometric data and increase exchanged funds limit. The ability to execute currency exchange transactions using Asian-Pacific Bank’s cards will still be available.

The first self-service currency exchange machine has been already placed in Asian-Pacific Bank Moscow Branch at the address: bld. 2, Podsosensky lane. In the nearest future, it is planned to place two additional machines in Moscow and Blagoveshchensk.
